Angel has painted the kitchen. Be sure to let him know how great it looks. He is also painting the small office on the 3rd floor which will become the new childcare room. On the first floor, the Thou Art classroom and hallway have new tile floors. Many thanks for the time and effort of our Stewards of Building and Grounds, Gail Durland and Lisa Lyles.
These physical updates are just part of the updates we have planned for the fall. Some of us have been talking about how to deepen our community life. We are wondering how to create entry points for new people and not-so-new people to become deeply connected with one another. We would love to hear your thoughts on this in the fall (or now if you have the time!). I find that my open office hours at LaQ allow for wonderful drop in conversations that are not necessarily solely church business. I am considering expanding the times of these hours in the fall for more informal conversations.
It will be great to see you all in another month! Enjoy the remainder of the summer.
Blessings, Beth
My next open drop-in office hours at LaQ (corner of Franklin St. and Belmont) on August 20th from 3-5 P.M. Please stop in and say hello! I am available for appointments in my church office; please let me know a good time for you.
During my vacation time, one of our church deacons and a pastor colleague are on call for emergencies. Please call the office and on my line will be a message about whom to call. I am on vacation August 11-15 and August 23-September 1st
