The shooting death of a terrorist suspect in Boston this week brought home to us here in Boston the dangerous and fragile state of our world. A world where young people far too often are being radicalized to plot terror. I am grateful for the police and FBI agents who work to understand this network of terror and safeguard us against it. I also wonder though what we can offer to prevent these young men and women who become terrorists. What hope, dreams, purpose can we provide to help them lead lives that offer peace rather than violence and death. What can we do to make peace with those filled with hate? I wonder. I pray for peace and I pray for the officers who killed in the line of duty.
Blessings, Beth
