What have you noticed in your Lenten walk thus far? Where have your feet taken you? Is there something you need to let go of so you can find new paths to walk?
In just two weeks, we find ourselves at the start of Holy Week. Below are the details for the week and for Easter. If you can, try to walk with us in the fullness of the week. The Christian faith is best learned by walking.
March 29 Palm Sunday
10 A.M. Blessing of Palms at Peace Pole with procession into sanctuary (snow permitting)
April 2 Maundy Thursday Union Service
7 P.M. Service of Tenebrae, First Congregational Church, 121 West Foster St.
We will join our brothers and sisters at First Congregational Church to sing, to pray, to remember the Last Supper, and to experience the darkness of the crucifixion and the sealed tomb. This contemplative time of worship will help everyone appreciate more fully what God has done in and through the suffering and resurrection of Christ.
April 3 Good Friday
Labyrinth-open 12 noon until 6:00 P.M.
On Good Friday, we remember the day of Jesus's Passion, and the path he walked for our sake. Labyrinth will be set up with Stations of the Cross, which provide you with a sensory and symbolic experience of the Passion.
April 5 Easter
Pure joy! Join us for the celebration of the resurrection.
