Worship
SUNDAY WORSHIP -- 10:00 AM
Interim Pastor: Rev. Peggy O'Connor
The
worship of God is the heart of the life and ministry of the church. It
centers our lives and provides the focus for all other activity and
outreach. We gather as a community to recharge our spiritual batteries
and receive nourishment for service to God and to God's people.
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month as part of the whole worship service. All are welcome at the table
The Children of Note is a seasonal choir for children ages 4 and up. Rehearsals are held every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. and are directed by Lara Ruoss.
Choir Light
is an informal singing group which meets and rehearses once a month on
a Saturday morning and sings the next day in worship. If you
would like to sing or play an instrument that might accompany the
group, please contact Wendy for more information.Highland Ringers is a group that plays the hand bells and is directed by Adrienne Wood. The group is on “maternity leave” with the director but hope to resume after the New Year.
The Sacred Dancers are an occasional group of dancers, middle school aged and up. The group performs during our worship service.
Members and visitors are encouraged to wear name tags and to enjoy refreshments at Fellowship Hour following the service, in Fellowship Hall.
In the unlikely event that we have a snow storm and must cancel Sunday Worship Services, please look for cancellation notices on MMTV (Channel 3 and 16 on Melrose Cable) and on WCVB-TV Channel 5. We will also use e-mail as an additional way to communicate when appropriate.

Labyrinth: The
Highlands Church also has an additional way to worship or pray by using
the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is a design in the floor that has a path
that can be walked. It is a path that leads to the center of the design
and back out again.
When a person steps on the path it is like taking a prayer walk. It is
open for walking every second Wednesday evening (except June) of the
month @ 7:30 p.m.
